YYYYAAAAYYYYYY this day was so much fun! August 14th I displayed my pet photography in the Art in the Park in South Portland. I met so many wonderful people and pet owners and I was pretty sure I couldn't love my job anymore...but I left the art show in the capable hands of my wonderful husband, and I traveled to Saco to photograph Corey and Niki's wedding...and I must admit...I actually did love my job even more! What is not to love about photographing two beautiful people joining together in wedded bliss? ...and Niki and Corey have got to be two of the most likeable, wonderful, and fun people you could ever want to meet. They both made my job...well, a piece of cake! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Bourque, and thank you for making me a part of your beautiful day.

Maria & Jake's Wedding
I'm so happy to share this event with all my family, friends, (and potential future wedding clients)!! My family and friends know that our big event of 2010 was the July 31st wedding of our very own Maria and Jake. The ceremony took place in Brunswick at St John the Baptist church and the reception was graciously hosted by Fred and Jane, parents of the groom, at their beautiful home in Owls Head Maine. I am honored and grateful for the opportunity of photographing their very special day...and without further delay...I am bursting at the seems to share it with all of you. Please take a few minutes to enjoy the slideshow...after all...a picture is worth a thousand words!

Renee and Alex
Let me introduce you to Renee and Alex...two of my "most favorite" people. Last summer I photographed Renee and Jeff's wedding (you can view a slideshow of their celebration on my website http://minormomentsphotography.com/WeddingsCelebrations.aspx
but today I share a celebration of a different kind...Renee, Jeff and Alex are expecting a baby boy in September. I must confess, one of the photos in the slide show was taken by five year old Alex...the sideways one of her Mom leaning against the tree...it's one of my favorites! Oh, and one more thing, Renee definitely "puts the Sexy back" in being pregnant!

Niki & Corey
Meet Niki and Corey. Niki hired me about a year ago to photograph her wedding this summer. I offered her a free engagement session, as I do with all my brides, to give us a chance to meet and make sure our chemistry will work well on the big day. Niki said that all sounded great, but that she and her fiancé live in Delaware...and well, that just wasn't going to work out. We decided to go ahead with the wedding planning, and if they found themselves in Maine between then and now, we could try and hook up for a quick session. We did try at some point during the holidays, but snow storms belting their home area forced them to change their plans. We finally had a window of opportunity come up this weekend, and I do mean "window"...
Niki and Corey are in Maine this weekend attending a friends wedding...and after comparing schedules we found we had an hour that matched up! The plan was Biddeford Pool, Friday, at 4:00. As I got out of my car to meet them for the first time, the sound of thunder loomed above us...and it appeared our window was growing smaller! This is definitely the fastest photo shoot I have ever done...and will probably be one of my favorites for awhile. There is something exiting about being caught in a storm at the beach...the fog just blanketed us, and on one hand I thought, what a waste, here we are in this beautiful spot, and we can't see past 10 feet! On the other hand, both Niki and Corey are an absolute joy to be around, they both glow, and really, the scenery didn't matter at all. Here is a sample. I haven't touched them up a bit...I think the fog is both exciting and romantic! Niki and Corey, I am so glad we finally met, and I'm absolutely looking forward to celebrating your big day with you!

Cats!
I consider myself very fortunate to be the newest photographer volunteer at the Animal Refuge League in Westbrook. Here are some of the photos from the past few weeks. Many of these great beauties have already been adopted, however many are still available. Please note, the black cat is currently missing. I do not know if he went missing from the ARL or from his new home, please contact the ARL if you know of his whereabouts. Here is the link to the ARL, the adoption fee for cats one year and older is currently being waved! http://www.arlgp.org/
