Niki & Corey

Meet Niki and Corey.  Niki hired me about a year ago to photograph her wedding this summer.  I offered her a free engagement session, as I do with all my brides, to give us a chance to meet and make sure our chemistry will work well on the big day.  Niki said that all sounded great, but that she and her fiancé live in Delaware...and well, that just wasn't going to work out.  We decided to go ahead with the wedding planning, and if they found themselves in Maine between then and now, we could try and hook up for a quick session.  We did try at some point during the holidays, but snow storms belting their home area forced them to change their plans.  We finally had a window of opportunity come up this weekend, and I do mean "window"...
Niki and Corey are in Maine this weekend attending a friends wedding...and after comparing schedules we found we had an hour that matched up!  The plan was Biddeford Pool, Friday, at 4:00.  As I got out of my car to meet them for the first time, the sound of thunder loomed above us...and it appeared our window was growing smaller!  This is definitely the fastest photo shoot I have ever done...and will probably be one of my favorites for awhile.  There is something exiting about being caught in a storm at the beach...the fog just blanketed us, and on one hand I thought, what a waste, here we are in this beautiful spot, and we can't see past 10 feet!  On the other hand, both Niki and Corey are an absolute joy to be around, they both glow, and really, the scenery didn't matter at all.  Here is a sample.  I haven't touched them up a bit...I think the fog is both exciting and romantic!  Niki and Corey, I am so glad we finally met, and I'm absolutely looking forward to celebrating your big day with you!
