Chapter 108. 2013. Non Fiction. A Maine Photographer

Why chapter 108?  That's the address of the remodel we just completed.  Yay!  Completed!  Sometime back in late October we decided to renovate the other half of our duplex, the side I took over for my scrapbooking/photography studio a few years ago.  When we took that part of the house over in 2007 we completely gutted the bathroom and kitchen at that time.  We also took out a portion of the wall on the second level so we could enjoy the benefits of having two bathrooms.  Basically the one thing we didn't do was put in a kitchen.  I had no need for a kitchen in a studio.

Now, fast forward to our decision making day, when we thought we could pull off this renovation in a one month time frame...after all...all I pretty much had to do was empty the place out and help my handy husband put in a kitchen.  It didn't take me long to see he and I were not on the same page.  When he started talking new carpeting and new ceilings and new light fixtures upstairs and new outdoor steps...I knew we were in for a bit longer than a month of renovations...

So, a not so long story short, three months later and a 10x10 storage unit rented, we have a tenant moved in, and we have managed to shoehorn ourselves back into a one bathroom family dwelling...for the time being.  We are thrilled with the renovations and we look forward to the future chapters of 2013.  I will keep you all updated right here!
