Reposting A Favorite. A Maine Wedding Photographer

As part of my wedding package I offer a FREE engagement photo shoot.  I believe it's a great way to get to know each other before the big day, and it's not part of the contract, so no strings attached...if you don't like your photos...or me for that matter...then off our separate ways we go.

I love these sessions!  I want you to have fun.  I want it to be a special date, one you both enjoy, with me as your third wheel hanging out with you.  I love getting to know you both a bit...and the photos sort of give me a practice run on how well you photograph together...if you have a "good side" and hopefully you will also share your insecurities a bit, so we can be sure to find a solution that works well for your wedding photos.  When you share with me what you don't like about yourself in photos it opens the door for us to find solutions together. 

I wanted to repost this engagement shoot from last fall.  I'm photographing Gus and Shannons wedding this weekend and the photos from their engagement shoot are some of my all time favorites.  I fell in love with these two right from the git go, and am so incredibly happy to be documenting their wedding for them this weekend!

Melinda & Chris

I love photographing couples before the big wedding day.  It gives us a chance to get to know each other a bit before the emotional whirlwind.  I will be photographing Melinda and Chris's wedding in 2012...but we did manage to spend a little time together in September...getting to know each other and enjoying a beautiful evening in Cape Elizabeth.  I always tell couples that this is their night...pretend I'm not there and just enjoy each other.  Wow...I love these photo shoots...might I venture to say even a bit more than the nuptials themselves...because...for just a few hours...I've got them all to myself...and no one else matters!  I've put together a sneak peek of their date night...go ahead...intrude...and call me if you would like a date night of your own!  (click on the photo)

Adam & Stacey Engagement Session at Portland Headlight

Hi Y'all
(my husband's frying Okra...so I'm feeling the southern accent coming on...) and it's smelling pretty good too...so I'm going to make this a quick post.

Which is ironic, because this engagement photo shoot was also pretty quick.  I get the feeling Adam wasn't really into me...well you know...the photographer me...which is ok...cause he's in good company...he's not the first groom who wanted to run away from me...(again, the photographer me...not me, me!)

So, thank you Adam for allowing me to photograph you and your beautiful bride-to-be.  I'm looking forward to doing it again soon!
