Yesterday was my niece Katie's 7th birthday. Until this past year, I had only met Katie once, and that was when she was 3 months old, in the picture here. As many of you know, our family suffered great loss this year, losing both of Katie's grandparents in a three month span. The bright light through those sad times were the unplanned visits from Katie and her Mom and Dad. We got to know Katie, and she got to know us. She's a Florida girl...so there was much to share with her here in Maine. 
But the best visit of all, was the summer visit...this one required no patent leather shoes, no little black dresses, no indoor voices. I put together a slideshow for Katie, of our little summer get-a-way to Point Sebago, but I'm sharing it today with you.
