A New Winter Adventure

This past Sunday I took the kids to Smiling Hill Farm to try something new...cross country skiing!! The trails are groomed, which makes skiing very easy...until you come upon a hill...headed down...and you don't know how to stop...then easy becomes a bit of a thrill and a chill at the same time. We all took our turns taking spills, but we had a great time. I brought Joshs' pocket camera along so I could share our day!

Vacation day at Saddleback

Sunday we took a family vacation day to Saddleback mountain. The weather was cold, but beautiful, and the scenery breath taking! Although it was a bit of a trek, I really wanted the boys to experience a big mountain, without all the crowds. The snow covered trees looked like something out of a Doctor Seuss movie...and the boys got to experience a "T-bar" for the first time. They made one successful trip up the mountain via t-bar...and then shortly after, had a not so successful trip part way up the mountain. For the time being, they have sworn off the t-bar...

Feline Friends

Here is my new favorite shot of Tiger. He's checking out our guinea pig. The other two cats are my friend Jody's cats. One is young and mischievous...the other older and mellow. I'll let you deduce who is who.

Last week, on a cold January day, I had the pleasure of photographing Renee and her family for their upcoming nuptials. Renee is a friend and former coworker, and I was delighted to hear her news and definitely elated to be part of it! Here are a few shots from our afternoon together. Did I mention Renee likes purple too?!!
